Today I was dragged to Wal-Mart, as my complains were being completely ignored. I dislike the fact that my mother has to make a stop by every other single product to see what it is or if it’s much cheaper than what she’s buying. Not that it’s a bad thing; I mean economy is a really big issue now. You just go into those stores with one thing in mind. Get what you need and get the fuck out. Not having this option, last resource was heading towards the electronics, where I ended up looking at CDs. Things are different now. This was the same Wal-Mart I’ve been going to for the past seven years or so. What could be so different as I walk through there? Then I realized. The section where the CDs were had become significantly smaller. Only one isle, when they use to take up most of the electronic section. ITunes and other illegal downloading softwares have taken over. Another epiphany. Although this time I felt like I was kind of late on the new realization. And now it’s not like the music was good. All I see is Susan Boyle and Justin Bieber around. Even in the section where Papa roach should have been instead. You’re not even given the option of listening to the soundtracks before you buy them. They figured if you want them is because you already know what you wanted. Okay so looking for just a single artist I like, was a pain. I mean disregarding the released iron man album of ACDC. Everything else was out of order. I magically found Breaking Benjamin all the way in one corner by its lonesome and that’s because I knew its cover.
Though it’s true, if I wanted to go look for music and buy the tangible album I would have gone to FYE or Best Buy. Yet my point is on the disappointment caused by the music section at Wal-Mart. Not even cold play was there for crying out loud.
